na stronie Laboratorium Badań Dziedzictwa Kulturowego. Laboratorium powstało na Wydziale Chemii Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego jako pracownia usługowo – badawcza, w ramach struktur Wydziału prowadzącego 16 laboratoriów wydziałowych i 15 specjalistycznych pracowni zakładowych.
Analizując potrzeby rynku analiz chemicznych stwierdzono znaczne zapotrzebowanie na kompleksowe badania materiałów pochodzących z dzieł sztuki i wykopalisk archeologicznych oraz ekspertyzy kryminalistyczne. Do tego celu niezwykle użyteczne są nieinwazyjne i niedestrukcyjne metody spektroskopowe,
wykorzystywane w badaniach wykonywanych przez laboratorium.

The conservation and preservation of cultural heritage is an interdisciplinary field requiring a close cooperation between conservator-restorers, archaeologists, (art) historians, collection managers, and museum curators on the one hand, and chemists, geologists, and physicists working in a field of science for the conservation on the other.
The aim of this meeting is to promote association between the cultural heritage field and the natural sciences. Such a synergie could be provided by the interdisciplinary research as well as the adequate education program. Both issues will be presented during the coming workshop.
All lectures will be delivered in English. The Workshop will take place in the building of the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Wrocław, ul. F. Joliot-Curie 14, Wroclaw.
Participation in the lectures and presentations of instruments for advanced analysis is free. The workshop can host a limited number of participants.
